About

Affordable Music Studio of Yakima is a local music education center dedicated to creating affordable opportunities for people to grow and develop their musical skills.

Our experienced instructors offer private lessons, to all ages, in:

• piano
• violin
• viola
• cello
• upright bass
• woodwinds
• brass

We provide monthly music lessons in our studio space.

Standard music lessons are 50-minutes long and held weekly. For students aged five to seven there is an additional option of doing 30-minute lessons instead. In addition to private lessons, students have the option to join a youth orchestra or small ensemble during the school year.

Our instructors use a positive, empathy-based approach to teaching. Music is supposed to be fun! We work with students on an individual basis to provide lessons tailored to their specific needs. This keeps students interested and engaged while they learn and helps to prevent music from becoming a chore.

Not everyone that wants to learn can afford a new instrument. Because of this, our studio offers instrument rentals for those who need it. If there isn’t an instrument available, we will set you up with a different rental company that we work with to make sure all of our students are taken care of.
